A Refined City Elopement

As we take our first steps down the aisle again, a ripple of small-scale plans have swayed the notion of a traditional, big white wedding into lesser-chartered territory. Carrying both bespoke touches and personalised details, orchestrating an intimate ceremony can be a powerful alternative to extended invites and large gatherings.

"Escaping the pandemonium of the city, Studio Porter has created a secret sanctuary of style and grace."

Studio Porter‘s carefully considered concept carries both bespoke touches and personalised details, demonstrating that an intimate ceremony can be a powerful alternative to extended invites and large gatherings.

Harbouring an assembly of heartfelt elements, Sister Press provides guests with a selection of paper treasures and monogrammed stationery – accompanied by the commissioned artwork of Studio of Ma and tailor-made vows, penned by Love Stories by Lydia.

“With a curtailed guest list, the bridal focus is one of contemporary simplicity. During sunshine hours, The Fall Bride’s Harriette Gordon forms a nostalgic vision with a ‘60s-inspired organza shift dress – complete with a soft bow tie to the nape and romantic bishop sleeves.”

With muted tones and accents of ornate gold throughout, guests are invited to sit on rattan thatched chairs – forming an organic colour palette which echoes the undisturbed nature of its environment.

"Juxtaposing the industrial urban confines of concrete and steel, the flourishing blooms of Flower & Fern in shades of antique pink provide botanical softness to a minimalist tablescape - led by Alice Passingham’s ceramic wares."

Melting away to night-time, Amare’s A La Robe streamlines the volume down to a column slip dress, complete with a carved backline and statuesque pooling at the hemline.

“Silently modern, Amare and A.B. Ellie provide both looks with natural baroque pearls and scintillating crystal waterfall earrings.”
